Deep Ruby red color, slight purple hues, with aromas of black and red fruit adding tobacco and herb pepper spice nuances. On the palate flavors of blackberries and cherries, savory with licorice notes. Fine tannins, full body, nice balance, long finish ending with herb and fruit mineral character.

The 2020 Caprili Rosso di Montalcino is spicy and perfumed with rose, strawberries and camphor. It’s much more energetic than anticipated on the palate, as acidity and a sweet herbal twang complement red berry fruit. The 2020 finishes classically dry and poised with a hint of licorice. $25.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, October 2022)

Rosso with strawberry, spice....surprised to find tons of chunky sediment which compromises at least the last 1/4th of the bottle. They need to clean these wines up before bottling, way too much sediment for a young Rosso (consistent in several bottles).

A fun Italian red with both spice and sweetness on the finish. Cherry and earthy notes.

Its that real sticky icky, woowee. Dark cherry and blackberry, turned earth, pickled mushroom, cedar, and leather. Soft and delicate, good verve, and those aforementioned tannins. Really hums after some time open. Was still gaining some funky complexity on night 3, although I preferred the simpler/cleaner flavors it displayed earlier.
