Sun-baked vermentino. Very savory and refreshing at the same time medium finish. This wine surprised me — 6 years ago
Fruity, apricot specifically. Light and crisp with a more-ish after taste — 12 years ago
Deep Ruby red color, slight purple hues, with aromas of black and red fruit adding tobacco and herb pepper spice nuances. On the palate flavors of blackberries and cherries, savory with licorice notes. Fine tannins, full body, nice balance, long finish ending with herb and fruit mineral character. — a month ago
A subtle Brunello. Tannins smoothed at 5 years old. November 2021. — 5 years ago
Amazing wine. Ages well!! — 11 years ago
An outstanding bottle similar to the previous times I have had it. 3 hour slow ox and then decanted at dinner. Went brilliantly with white truffles! Had the Caprili with the veal and the body may have suited the veal but the Soldera was the WOTN — 2 years ago
I’m back and it’s tasty — 4 years ago

They will say “ Burgundian”. An hour of air with a little chill, a nice nose of blood, forest, morello cherries, spices, everything knit together well. The palate , especially against Marcella Hazan’s Bolognese, gives really nice acid/tannin balance and then the fruit.
Or should I say the fruit and tertiary flavors, sense. Nice middling forest floor, cherries(dried), some leather. A lovely BdM. I wouldn’t say for very long holding, but delicious now and the next few years.
