With home made pizzas… and it was delicious. Nicely balanced. Civilized Dolcetto.

Really like this. Not too complex which is perfect for study night.

Med concentration with a pale ruby core and violet rim. Med + intensity with a decent amount of alcohol upfront. Med complexity showing ripe red and blue fruit. Cherry, boysenberry, crushed stones, stems, and purple flowers. Firm structure with med + tannins and acid. Full body. Less complex on the palate showing less fruit which is overwhelmed by the structure. Okay length. Definitely a food wine. I'll revisit in a year. #brunogiacosa #dolcetto #alba #piedmont #italy #ctbucklinwine

Fresh as a daisy. Such a pleasure to enjoy dolcetto from Giacosa. Fall fruit, plum, cherry pit, dark earth, coffee. Dusty, dense, savory, lighter and airy on the palate. Killer wine for what it is

Just arrived: the 2017 Dolcetto d’Alba from stellar producer Bruno Giacosa. Cranberry, rhubarb, graphite. This is terrific stuff, richer than past vintages at 14% ABV. If you are looking for something along with your Cru Beaujolais, this is it.

Serious Dolcetto, no tutti frutti here, mouthwatering savory & umami flavors, subtle dark cherry aromas/flavors, plenty of zesty acidity, and firm tannjns.
