Elite Oloroso Palomino Fino

in the spirit of sherry week, a dip into my stash. not a bad example -- slightly piquant, walnutty, not unlike drinking persimmons.

Salt and caramel

M mahogany. Vanilla, walnut, pecan, Brien sugar, raisin, floral and saline. M+ acid, m body, nutty, long finish. Fabulous!

Burnt sugar, bittersweet chocolate, orange peel, candies pecans and walnuts, even figs and prunes. Lovely acidity that keeps everything balanced, particularly the moderate sweetness.

Nuts, cherries, and mocha. Nice to try something new.

Smooth, sweet, almost like a port wine, with hints of chocolate and fig and pecans.. Yum!

Fried pecans, maple, saline, walnuts, figs, burnt caramel, green apple skin, quince. Oily texture, mild acid/smooth tannin balance, long savory off dry finish.

Always hard to believe how great of a value these wines are...especially when you can drink a bottle across several months. Salty, earthy, fruity and sweet

Nice roasted cashews and great caramel. Have a cheese plate with it
