Mainque Chardonnay

Stone fruit, citrus and minerality. Not sure if this has any used oak, certainly no new oak. Must have spent some time on the lees and at least partial malolactic fermentation.

Shiro (yellow) plum, and some really intriguing phenolics - leather and bittersweet apple on the back end. Exquisite texture and volume. Enveloping, with burning, buzzing minerals and fruit. @Lyn Farmer spot on this is a shape shifter and indeed calls to mind Chenin.

Good is a lovely cool climate unoaked Chardonnay with loads of lemon, green apple, yellow plum, honeysuckle, wet stone and flint. Tasting it blind I first thought it could be a great chenin blanc until the Chardonnay realization set in. Pricey but a terrific food wine.

Super beautiful. It has weight and backbone yet so delicate. It has the perfect balance of austerity and richness. I still want to say it's Meursault in a Chacra bottle.

A collaboration between Bodega Chacra and the great Jean Marc Roulot. Instantly Roulot tension, palate tingling acidity and precision are noticed. Nose is a bit musky and subdued. Opened up to show white flowers, citrus blossoms and stony minerals. Finishes with impressive length and energy. The wine is aged in old barrels from Roulot Meursault. Really cool collaboration.

Balanced with nice acidity. A touch of oak but just the right amount. Nice to switch it up away from the typical now and then. A new world style but not overdone. Has a few reminders of Burgundy in there...

Green apple, white peach, wet stone, and fresh herbs. Savory and herbal on the palate. Moderate plus acid and moderate minus body.

Ripe, confectionary, cotton candy flavors, also a little green/underripe fruit providing tension. Greenish gold color. Some vanilla and oak. Mineral too, like wet granite on the tongue. Young and green.
