Bodega Catena Zapata
High Mountain Vines Chardonnay
Mendoza, Cuyo, Argentina

Deep gold with a greenish tint. Light citrus on the nose. Nice, balanced acidity. Medium body. Straightforward. I taste a hint of pear. No oak. Minerals emerge in the finish. 13.5% alcohol. From high altitude vineyards in Mendoza, Argentina. The Catena Zapata Family has bottled wine in Argentina since 1902. Enjoyed with moules marinières and sourdough bread. Very quaffable. $17.00

Always a great value, focused aromas of honey, jasmine, apricots, mango, with hints of citric peel and oaky vanilla. Well rounded mouth feel with honeyed flavors, pears, peach, a pronounced citric flavor on the midpalate, finishing with a cool mineral streak.

The style balances concentration, texture, and bright mountain energy with polished integration.
Aromas & Flavors:
