Wow. Still so youthful with red fruits on the palate. Amazing stuff.

15 years young. None of the aggressive SO2 notes you often see in '99s from other relatively large houses. Just pure fruit with tons of horsepower, this is definitely showing and well right now. Toasty autolytic notes blend in seamlessly. This wine feels like good natural bottle age, no forced reduction (a la Ruinart) or oxidation edge (Krug, Bollinger). It has a long window in front of and it should age really gracefully. Impressive.

A disappointment. Lovely flavors but the pearl was weak. Possibly an older disgorgement date or improperly stored. Or the French are shipping the meh stuff to Germany. 1999 should be fresh and zippy and full of life. C'est la vie...

Very nice! Toast & toffee with layers of white fruits - still years ahead of it.

Crisp yet creamy lemon curd, toffee, touch of yeast. Just lovely '99 vintage to celebrate #5yrAnniversary

Structured, integrated, and powerful. Tones of toast, pear tart, figs, creme brûlée, flowers, ripe strawberry, smoke, hazelnuts, chalk, and wet stones. Very elusive and pretty but yields quite an impact on the palate. So alive and vibrant. Out of magnum
