A beautiful Tuscan wine blended from old vines in several vineyards. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, complex spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and sweet raspberry with notes of tar, leather and toasty oak. Fine elegant tannins, long finish, good balance ending with fruit, spice and earthy notes, wrapped tightly together. Very nice. Tasting Sample!

Cherries and Christmas spice on the nose. Midweight. Purple fruit. Good mouth-feel.

Very elegant - needs a couple of hours in a decanter before it starts to open, but then it is redolent of violet, sour cherry, leather, fennel, and forest flour. Very well balanced and deceptively graceful because there is no shortage of power here either. Long finish. Better in two or three years

Wonderful. I expected more fruit, more explosiveness. Silky and demure with soft tannins.

Good aroma including cherry, fig etc. Elegant. Still need to wait for more years. But it can be tasted. Chest nuts. 2016 @2950, wine plus - 302, 200916-201211

I own the ‘15 and was completely disappointed that it is still sooo tight . I passed on buying the ‘16, now to my regret. This one is singing even young. Tradition Sangiovese. A breath of sunny Tuscany. Ripe red fruit and that burnt Tuscan dirt. Just amazing. Long finish with medium plus acidity for long cellaring.
