Medium ruby/garnet color

Nose: red fruits, cherry, cranberry, dries hibiscus, orange peel, leather, red hot clay.

Palate: acidic red fruit upfront, sour cherry, cranberry, green olive, red dusty earth, smoke, lingering very light vanilla. medium/high alcohol, medium tannin in mid palate, estringent leathery dryness in mid.

At first taste it seems a bit flat on the taste, doesn't really build or come out with anything other then the initial red fruit.

Bought at Sonoma Costco and brought to Houston. This is a BYOB restaurant that charges $8 corkage. An ok Italian wine. Visited the winery several years ago in Italy.
