Surmaturo purtroppo. Bocca morbida e abbastanza ok ma naso poteva essere un vino di 30-40 anni

At Dyer’s. From magnum. Overarching greeness from French oak barrels dominated.

This was the best out of the four Voerzio Barolos opened this night. Although young after being opened and decanted for 3 hours it began to soften up and show amazing fruit, flowers and touches of earth notes. The true beauty laid in the raspberry tea leaf, wild strawberries, red cherries, and sweet tea character amongst many other beautiful notes that came and went as the wine developed with time. Truly amazing and a must for Italian wine lovers! Cheers to me. Voerzio

2009 has made a wine that is more accessible now, feel free to open it up but make sure to give it plenty of air. The nose is generous, tar, roses, sappy red fruits and licorice, savory for sure. The palate is a little less generous and firm, but unlike 2010, more enjoyable now.

Big meat evening and this paired well. Lots of sediment at the end but after 2 hours decant all was well!
