Slamming nose. Cedar, tar, tobacco, roses, very very fragrant. Palate is sleek, opulent but also reserved with juicy mid season cherry fruit and awesome velvety tannins. Wow this is a gorgeous wine. A notch up from the Ovello. Balance is near perfect. Unreal depth and so well made. Genius. So good. i’m blown away. This is the best 17 i’ve had so far.
After many hours the nose is very minty with chestnut vibes. Wow. Insanely juicy and so refined. Almost a 9.7. What high quality tannins. Stunning.

Camphor/cedar nose with some bright cherry fruit as the wine unfurls. Pepper, tangy fruit, balanced acid, great freshness. Little discernible alcohol. Linear, unresolved tannins. Beautiful work and a long life ahead of it.

This is the barbaresco cole.
Nose is cherry flower with some spice. Expansive. Beautiful perfume. As it opens the nose gets a bit darker. Deep Lilacs?
Palate has that quazzolo just grab you by your socks better than fruit fruit. Some spice. A hint of cherry licorice. Super fresh. As it opens a bit Plummer but still fresh.

Camping in Anza Borrego. 93F in mid April. But at night really pleasant. And if you go camping you need a wine which can take a beating in the desert and still tastes awesome. Stored on ice and then tasted with Rib-eye steak from the grill. Lilac, quite tannic, leather, cherry - of course it is blasphemy to open this so soon should have bought more!!!!!

Nose is sweet elegant blackberry flower and lilacs. Beautiful. Permeates the nose.
