Popped and poured; no formal notes. Please refer to @Antonio Galloni note for this wine from February in 2018. We’re now in 2022 and he absolutely nails it 💯. I’ve had this bottle in my cellar since release and it’s aging at a glacial pace. I literally have nothing to add. Bravo!

Jan 25th, 2018Popped and poured...sooooo young but it’s already showing great potential. Fresh, bright red and dark fruit, roses and minerals. Classic Barolo. Surprisingly enjoyable to drink now but it’s pretty obvious that these will be at their best down the road a ways.

Nov 11th, 2017Medium intensity garnet. Funk, flint, and ferrous on the nose with a hint of petroleum. Some nuttiness and cranberry, cherry rounds out the palate. Medium acidity, medium alcohol, tannins well-softened. This can definitely stay in the cellar for a while longer. Great now too though.

Brovia's 2013 Barolo is gorgeous. Deep, ample and beautifully layered in the glass, it possesses terrific expansiveness in every dimension. An exotic bouquet laced with hints of orange peel, cinnamon, pomegranate, kirsch and mint melds into a core of rich red stone fruit. This one of the best straight Barolos readers will come across. It is built on a core of fruit from the Brea Cru in Serralunga (the part outside the Ca' Mia parcel), with the addition of about 30% juice left over after the casks for the single-vineyard Barolos have been filled. The 2013 is one of the very finest values in high-end wine. Don't miss it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2018)

May 12th, 2018This is pretty great, but I feel like it’s got more to show in a few years. The oak is well integrated but will probably settle a bit more in a while, the fruit is mostly dried berries, good tannins and acidity.
