The 2022 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore entices with a remarkably pretty blend of wildflowers, lemon sorbet and gingery spice. Soft textures soothe the palate as saline mineral tones contrast ripe orchard fruits. Citrus traces add tongue-curling tension toward the close. The 2022 finishes long and perfumed, leaving cheek-puckering hints of sour lime that keep the mouth watering for more. Despite the warm vintage, the balance here is otherworldly. Nose is floral and mineral, with deep appley fruit. Intensely mineral and bone dry in the mouth, good acids. It’s got an intense attack and the finish is all minerals and a bitter edge. Great with our baked fish tonight! A gift from my brother . . . Thanks Bro.

Actually quite nice...apricot/honeysuckle, early bananna and white peach. Nice acid. Some rubber hose (could be a flaw) I could easily confuse with good dry riesling.

Skins included in kinetic fermentation, but not macerated on the skins. 7 mos on the lees.

white flowers & orchard fruit ~ juicy laser attack, followed by slightly rounder apple & pear flavors, then a persistent zing on the finish ~ so pleasant to drink
