Vibrant acidity, elegant fine tannins, well balanced just starting to wake up, long finish ending with slight earthy notes, plenty of depth, will continue to develop.

Musky, gamey nose. Earth and forest, pine bark. This wine is taught and brooding, and yet there is sweetness at the core. Black cherries followed by black tea. If the Jean Grivot was a romp through a fairy tale forest, this is a more sinister tale, by the brothers Grimm. One wonders how, exactly, it will end.

Beautiful color. Fresh, bright, juicy with nice acid. Red berries, flower petals, mulberry, little bit of forest floor and crushed rocks. Always had a good bottle from this producer.
