Obviously, not as nuanced and textured as the single vineyard bottlings, but no complaints from us. Less amplification, but still possess the Aubert signature on the mid palate. Roasted pineapples and lychees caress the palate. Great balance and acidity.

Take back everything I said about Mark’s Russian River Wines. This one is something I would buy a case or two of. Just sensational effort by Mark!

So consistent. We are happy we are on the allocation. Honeysuckle and butterscotch play out on the nose. Beautiful display on the palate. Starts with a burst of energy, which effortlessly glides onto bright citrus notes, with sherbet. So clean and refreshing, we could drink this like water!

Nose displays butterscotch and blood orange. Palate presents caramel, baked bread and a hint of green capsicum. Finishes with good weight, round acidity, and moderate sweetness. These appellation bottlings from Aubert are understated, and wonderful as a result.

Renovation update - first phase of stairs are finally in, after I (general contractor) screwed up my angles. Monday/Tuesday will be big...

Very nice. Started off flat but turned out to be fairly driven. Opulent and just at its peak (maybe a few years past) but awesome bottle. Don’t buy more but drink up. Thanks @Ben Edwards

The sheer beauty of these Aubert wines is that I’m never prepared for what to expect...
@David L introduced wifey and I to this brilliant chard. It glides effortlessly across the nose and palate. For an appellation bottling, this is a reference-point from which to compare the best chards. Homied nose, complimented with lemon oil and barrel toast. Palate presents butterscotch, coconut, and a hint of apricot. Flamboyant for its sheer complexity. Fleshy, yet so refined. Acidity is present, and is tucked in. Please madam, may I have some more???

Tried to follow the instructions. Decanted and put in an ice bucket to mimic cellar temp while it aerated. Too impatient. Poured and drank. Little hot but really beautiful orchard and stone fruits. Then after more time and air this wine was really elegant. Excellent.
