Recently tasted this again. 25 years ago Argyle began making wine in Willamette. Deep Ruby with aromas of red and black fruits, blossom and spice. The palate shows strawberry, cherry & cola flavors with generous acidity. Medium soft round tannins, good balance, medium finish ending with fruit and some spice notes. Nice! Tasting Sample.

Bright with nice structure and high acidity. Ripe berries without being overly fruit forward - would pick up again

Light ruby hue with light saturation. Aromas and flavors of cherry, earthy, and raspberry, with herbal and floral hints. Medium-light body, with medium-light tannins and medium-plus acidity. Palate is light with red fruit and a clean, drying finish. Easy to drink and pair with foods.

Rose with an orange tint in color. Interestingly, the outer rim is nearly clear. Vanilla, coconut, dill, and spice on the nose, almost more of a light cab, but some cherry is present. More American oak notes on the palate along with cedar, dark cherry, rhubarb, cinnamon, clove, and even some cocoa. High alcohol mouthfeel, medium tannins, and high acid. The finish is the real high point. A very different pinot that is not quite in balance. I like it, but then I like oak. If the idea of an oaky pinot turns you off, then avoid this one.
