Had some cigar/leather on the nose which I know may sound odd to describe Pinot but those are my words, and I am using them. Firm structure typical of this vintage (2010).

Great personality, full flavor
Super mineral
Spices like there is no tomorrow
I really enjoyed this
In balance
You can wait, but I wouldn't

A primal, gnarly blue fruit nose with herbal and bloody notes. On the palate lean, dark and deep. Tangy red fruit. Very alive still with gnarly animal notes but pretty rustic- a testament to muscular and vigorous older burgundy

Saturday night and I have opened the 2015 Albert Morot Beaune Teurons Premier Cru Pinot Noir.

On the nose there is abundant red fruit of being cherries, raspberry, strawberry, roasted coconut, rhubarb, vanilla, mint and earth notes.

Upon first sip on the palate there is a tartness but that may be its youthfulness and will wear with age, cherry, raspberry, ripe tomato, truffle, rosemary, beets, green tea, black olive and an earth component.

This wine is medium bodied with medium acidity and mouth coating medium + sandy tannins that leads to a long fresh finish. A nice burgundy that won't break the bank. Enjoy your weekend and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Closed for business for the first couple hours and was still slow to unwind thereafter.. Rooted in an old world style. Violets, earth, worn leather, dried black cherry, dried citrus peel and a touch of smoke.

Still muscular without bring massive. The spicy earthy notes persist. Some serious fruit still shows up. This is why Burgundy

Earthy and delicious. Subtle dried cherries on a very feminine old world palate.

Everyone gravitated to this bottle. If only we could get free refills every now and then.

Awesome bottle. Paired with a teriyaki marinated salmon and a light salad with raspberry vinaigrette. The cherry and ripe fruit of the wine worked well with the salmon and raspberry. Wine had medium high acidity and good tannins. Would love to revisit this one after more aging.
