Very rich for a tawny, with chocolate, raisins, figs. Dense. Delicious.

Premier league tawny. Darker in color than its peers, this even has a soft nose to it. Palate is figs, raisins, brown sugar. Long, luxurious finish with some heat. Lovely.

Lacks balanced. Rough down the throat. Just a little sweet. Darker than the other years

Had this tawny 10 yr at Red Bar Brasserie in Southampton. It actually drinks line a 20 yr old very smooth and rich.

20 year old Tawny. Huge acidity, warm almost burning alcohol. Lots of flavour - raisins, sultanas, prune, dark chocolate, wood polish, walnuts and sweet spices. Espresso notes with pencil shavings. Medium bodied and fresh - the high acidity makes the fruit sharp and defined. The finish is a little unbalanced by the heat of the alcohol and the sharpness of the acidity. More of a Madeira profile than what I would expect of a tawny. Very good but let down by these structural issues.
