Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Brimming with an unpalatable shock of alcohol, thick, juicy gobs of overripe blackberry and an avalanche of new oak chips in this monstrosity of a wine is no better then the $8 Apothic Inferno positioned on a case stack next to the waste bin. Hats off to the greed of billionaire owners (Resnicks) that clear cut hundreds of acres of mature, natural oak tree habitat to make way for vines to create this utter disgrace of California grape juice that follows in the trends of Parkerized excrement. If character, style, grace, food pairing, honestly anything other than a quick and distasteful buzz are what you’re looking for I would still steer wide of this waste of shelf space. Do your research, learn about the owners and their run in with the law in 2016. We are all paying dearly and will never forget as long as this wine exists under the name Justin or any of its affiliates. It didn’t even remotely improve my experience at the laundromat. This bottle was gifted to me... just to be clear it’s not worth spending a dollar over $1 to try this. Boycott Justin!!! #justin #justice #plonk — 4 years ago

Isosceles Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1998

Aromas of cherry pie, stewed tomato and dried herbs. Super silky, medium body and medium acidity. Quite lovely. #justin #isosceles #bordeauxblend — 6 years ago

Silver Oak

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

I'm not here to knock Silver Oak, as they can make some very good wines and they are great for Napa Valley. The 2011 Alexander Valley isn't my favorite. It's by no means horrible, but it's quite acidic and tart. — 9 years ago

@Neil Barham, I agree to an extent, but the harvesting method I refer to was happening while he was there. In my opinion, quality started to fall short after 1995. I don't see how you can produce good juice with indiscriminate harvesting methods like what SO use today.

Great observation. Funny these #napacabbootlickers who will only drink SO and Rombauer will drink it even if the added cyanide to it

Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Charles (Chad) Bucklin
8.5

Not quite opaque but med + concentration and a deep ruby core with little rim variation. Med + intensity and med complexity. A fruit bomb on the nose and palate. Ripe/jammy black and fruit. Seductive and yummy with smooth tannins and med - acid. Alcohol is well integrated. Med length. Just plain old delicious. #justin #pasorobles #cabernetsauvignon #fruitbomb #californiacab #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
