40 Year Old Tawny Porto

Graham's 40 Year Tawny Port
Another gorgeous #tawnyport from @grahams_port, this was just a shade behind in energy and density from the 1972 Single Harvest. Though quite different as this showed the mastery of blending, while the 1972 showed the utter unique character only one vintage can show. Orang peel, zest, salted caramel, and subtle wood spice. A gorgeous tang on the palate balances the richness, fresh, but a long and persistent finish.

Single Harvet Tawny Port Blend 1972

The 1972 Single Harvest Tawny Colheita was exquisite, fine and elegant with a finish that carried on for minutes. The complexity was off the charts, I could smell and sip this for hours. A gorgeous wine, this is no doubt the best Tawny to pass my lips. #grahams #colheita #1972 #singleharvest — 7 years ago

Alcohol right off the bat, but behind that is such delicacy, complexity, elegance, and richness. So fresh and #delectable #vintageport #grahams #1966 — 8 years ago

Vintage Port Blend 2000

The 2000 Vintage Port was drinking so well, starting to step into maturity with some tertiary fruit notes and a structure that has started to mellow.

Savory and fresh dark red cherry, cassis and plum, a touch of sweet mocha. The nose is very pronounced and seductive, inviting you to sip and seek it's pleasures. The palate is perfectly balanced, good density, balanced, still present but refined and polished tannin, and a long and luxurious finish that lasts for many minutes.

Maybe the best Port of the trip...bought a few back here after I got back. So should you!
