Trésor Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2015

Really nice blend. Feel like i am in the French countryside. A classic Alexander Valley profile of fruit forwardness and a nice balance. — 3 years ago

Cuvée Speciale Louise Brut Champagne Blend 2004

Open this in honor of my late mother Louises birthday ... always wanted to try this with her and never made it happen but very special and appropriate homage to her. Definitely give this one time to open up and reveal itself! — 3 years ago

Ken Wright Cellars

Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

What a pleasant surprise! This 2017 Pinot Noir is terrific. Overarching taste profile is black cherry swathed in nice subtle spices. Finish is lengthy - balanced by fruit and acidity. This is a must buy. — 3 years ago

Ronco del Gnemiz

Bianco San Zuan Friulano 2019

🍇2019 Ronco del Gnemiz Friulano San Juan
Enchanting and thrilling with a lovely texture. Somehow it reminds me of a mix of a white Burgundy and high quality Sancerre. A wine that is right up my alley. Serve it at 12 degrees in a generous Burgundy glass. Serve it with something tasty.

Good concentration on the nose that opens up with some green apples, grape fruit and elder flower that is soon overtaken by richer characters of juicy peaches, orange and honey. Toasted nuts and a pronounced crushed fruit mineralogy brings further complexity.
Full bodied and a generous entry with a balancing fresh acidity. Pronounced fruit concentration and strong mid palate yet with a slime waste and lovely salty texture that brings nerve and tension through a very solid finish. Well Done!

Rogue Vine

Grand Itata Los Amigos Red Blend 2020

Delicate and dry. Very surprised by my first Chilean white wine. Well balanced for an orange wine, with less of the "funk". — 3 years ago

Domaine Jean-Louis Chave

Hermitage Syrah 1995

2021/2/27 with delivery from Joel Robuchon. Many of the greatest aged red wines (with many of the greatest meals) that I’ve had have been Chave Hermitage, and here was another. The great Syrahs of the Northern Rhône become so magical with age - it enhances them as much or more than any other wine - and this is as good as they come. Astonishing aromas of roasted game, olives, black berries and spices, deep and rich yet translucent and fresh on the palate. — 3 years ago

Continues to be an excellent staple. Very balanced. Lots of complexity but smooth. Not overly fruity. Earthy. — 3 years ago
