Deep Ruby with aromas of blue and black fruit, spice and oaky notes. Blend of mostly Cab Sauv, with Cab Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot & Malbec and aged in French oak (about 75% new) for almost 2 years. On the palate flavors of blackberry, blueberry and plums with sweet spice, oak, cacao and earthy notes. Well balanced, good acidity and fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, tobacco and tobacco spice. Delightful!

Too young but very good and should get better. Nose has loads of cigar box and ground sandstone, dark oozy berries. Palate is rich and complex, with a little alcoholic pepperiness in the back half. Lots of tannin. Acids are a bit low and the alcohol is a bit high at 15%, so the tightrope is to find the number of years of aging to let the tannins settle but before the alcohol starts to burn through. 9.1+ (the + is if you find that sweet spot).

When opened, you can taste all the elements there, but it is not ready yet. Much better on second and third day when it opened up. Even on day five it was still enjoyable. That tells me that this will be an excellent wine to enjoy, but give it another 2-3 years in the cellar.

DEEP red color, almost black and non-see-through. Big fruit forward nose, jammy dark ripe fruits, with hints of blood orange and violet peppered in. A big fruit palate with hints of graphite, vanilla and wood, with tight tannins that hang on and don’t let you forget, with a lithe, tight acidity that shows that it still needs some time to reach its peak, despite the pedigree. This is a prime example of modern Napa cab, dry but fruity, but bombs, American as hell, distinctive and brash, and not ready to play on the big stage, but lots of potential.

Excellent cab, very dark notes and fruits. Smoothed out the longer it was opened so the smoke and charcoal dissipated. Bought at smyrna beverage warehouse for $99.
