Grabbed another bottle! Estate of Sette Ponti lies in the heart of the Chianti zone, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past the village of San Giustino Valdarno. Crognolo, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry and sweet cherry flavors, blossom notes, spice and fine dusty tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Try in 2022 or decant for an hour first.

Blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. Dark ruby color. Bold dark berry aromas with hints of baking spices. Black and blue berries on the palate with hints of black currant, black cherry with just a touch of minerality on the finish. Extremely fruit forward. Nicely balanced and complex. Tannins are in check. Ready now but can age another few years. Solid. Thanks for opening this bottle, Keith S!

Black cherry, black currant, smooth tannins, leather, spice note, earthy. A nice drinking table wine.

Very rich and smooth. Nice blackberries. Reminds me of a Napa wine. Lacks the depth I was expecting. Great wine to pair with meat but sort of boring on its own.
