I love this wine. Had it many times and it never disappoints. Black pepper, wild fruit, boysenberry, cured meats, dried herbs and amazing minerality.

Jae scale very positive @Diana Cho. Would put into the regular Syrah rotation.

We did a little wine tasting to make a boring meeting a lot more fun. The theme was California Syrah... but we used this as a baseline and it offered a great lesson and challenge. Deep fruit, spice, earth... great. And a good value.

Medium body, purple color, notes of blueberry, pomegranate, black spice smoke and bubble gum. Med tannins and low acid; smooth.

Super herbal and olive-y on opening. With air, the violet, blackberry and smoked meat came out.

Decanted 1-2 hours, served with a buttery mushroom, kale & chicken pot pie. Get the whole cluster, carbonic Beaujolais comparison here, but with more tannin and body. Also more savory and only a hint of minerality. Dark fruits and food-friendly acidity.
