Julienas Gamay

Love lapierre wines! First time tasting his julienas! Pretty red fruit & earth! Another bday wine 😋

This is pretty stylish wine. Nose of red fruits, cranberry, hay, flowers, palate is bright and succulent with incredible freshness and purity. Exquisite fruit and balance. Exceptional wine. A thing of beauty.

Vivid magenta. Potent black raspberry, cherry and violet scents show excellent clarity and pick up smoky mineral and peppery spice accents with air. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry and red berry flavors that show a suave blend of depth and energy. The floral note repeats strongly on the very long, seamless finish, which features silky tannins and a touch of candied licorice. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, March 2018)

I had this lovely 2016 too early. But I enjoyed every drop!

Fresh off the boat and super young, but doesn't have (or hint at) the Lapierre fairy dust. Tasty Beaujolais, but rather four square and not worth the tariff. I'll revisit in a few months, and I hope I'm proven wrong and this blossoms into something more recognizable as Lapierre.

Fresh strawberries, raspberries, cranberries, roses, slight white pepper. Snapping acidity, light medium bodied, juicy-silky texture, fruity finish. Clean, polished interpretation of gamay. Fruity, pretty and straight to the point.

Made me say wow!

Fantastic. My first experience with the Lapierre Julienas and it didn't disappoint. Rivals the best young Cote de Nuits wines in its depth and soul.

First vintage! So glad I bought a bottle of this.

To date, one of the best wines I've tasted. This is what wine is all about. Absolutely beautiful nose that pulls you in and keeps evolving. Supple, tasty fruit on the palate. One of my new favorites!
