What a gorgeous nose. A lush mix of dark brooding fruit with tobacco, plum, dried herbs and a hint of herbs. A hint of band aid. Rounded and delicious. Sappy and intense. Long.

Graphite and raisin, fig and marinated porcini, smoky dried cherries, black pepper on grilled beef fat, toasted sesame, dried black and red currants, all within an aura of damson and violet and honeyed rose petal. Palate leaps with damson and dried and fresh bing cherry, dried spiced plum, cedar and dried lavender, black olive, moist tobacco, and perfectly toned tannins which come off as a separate, undefinable taste of fruit skin extraction with stunning depth; tea leaves meet dried blackberry in a redwood stand. Soft date and creamy fig follow to a tart raspberry end.

Classic Cheval. A beautiful Bordeaux from the moment the cork came out.

Structured and tannic not sure if this will ever come around .

Tasting group last night. My 5th, Group 4th. Aldehydic, filmy, bing cherry fruit. Sweet? Nice body, good acid. Not a terrific bottle?

Kicking butt! Surprised me how good this was. Showing just wonderful. Drink now, very balanced and resolved. Tons of sediment.

In a great place

Red currant, tobacco, leather, graphite, black cherry, violets, lead pencil shavings. Drinking beautifully

tobacco and dark fruit, herbal pyrazine, softer fruit, lush.
