Effervescence Domaine de la Voute des Crozes Beaujolais Gamay

Sparking white gamay?! Weird, but fun. Relatively inexpensive! And oh so delicious and cool! Has a bready/yeast quality with some yellow apples, lemon, and lots of fine bubbles. Some salinity there as well. I think it’s a blast.

This was delicious. It was a bite geeky and Gamay qualities actually came through. I’d drink this all day.

This wine is a creative approach to gamay. The time it spends on the lees pushes the toasty/bready notes to the front, balanced by yellow apple and nicely structured acidity. Overall it’s more interesting and curiosity-piquing than great, but definitely worth trying if you come across it.

Green apple and lemon tart, very dry, bright acidity and gamay shines through, great as bubbly.

I think it may have been a bit corked, but it got drunk!
