A blend from several vineyards, including Sweetwater Vineyard. Bright Ruby color, purple edges, with aromas of ripe fruits and complex spice. On the palate concentrated flavors of raspberry, cherry and currants with pepper, herbs and oak, aged for 15 months on French oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with spice, ripe fruit and oaky tones. Very Nice!

Juicy, red, warm. Russian River’s finest, especially considering the challenging vintage and age. 👏🏻

Blind tasting of nine Rochioli single vineyard Pinots, three each from 2000, 2004 and 2006. I found this one more restrained than the others. RP90

The 2019 Pinot Noir Estate is a very pretty, delicate wine. Lifted aromatics, bright red berry fruit and mid-weight structure make for a tasty, Russian River Pinot that will drink well right out of the gate. This is an especially floral, silky style. A dollop of whole clusters (12%) is not especially evident. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2021)

I’ve never imagined that I would use velvety as a nose descriptor but, that is what is speaking to me with this 2012. The fruits are velvety/ brilliantly floral/slightly candied; raspberries, black raspberries, black cherries, dark cherries, lean/juicy strawberries, plum, blue fruits & cranberries. Dark, rich soils, mix of raspberry & black licorice, sandstone, nutmeg, very soft vanillin, hint of black pepper, understated savory, grilled meats, dry crushed rocks and the full spectrum of bright; red, purple, blue, red, medium dark florals framed in violets.

The palate was a bit astringent at first but, has rounded & soften nicely. The mouthfeel is gorgeous & sexy. The acidity speaks to the acid head in me. Really nice showing the beautiful growing season that 2012 brought. The fruits are; brilliantly floral/slightly candied & juicy; raspberries, black raspberries, black cherries, blackberries, dark cherries, lean/juicy strawberries, plum, blue fruits & cranberries. Dark, rich soils, mix of raspberry & black licorice, cola, tree sap, sandstone, nutmeg, very soft vanillin, caramel notes, dark chocolate bar, some melted brown sugar & understated molasses, hint of black pepper, understated savory, grilled meats, dry crushed rocks, moist clay and the full spectrum of bright; red, purple, blue, red, medium dark florals framed in violets. The beautiful, elegant, well balanced finish is gorgeous wire to wire.

Notes of black berry intermingled with vanilla a bombastic #pinotnoir without being completely over the top! Tart cherry notes with deep rich flavors!!

Color is starting to fade but not brackish at all. Very pretty fruit. Dried plum, cherry, anise and fig. Beautifully nuanced and subtle. Excellent example of 10 year old rrv Pinot

Deep ruby in color offering aromas of strawberry, ripe cherry, forest floor and underbrush. The palate is dusty with cherry, blackberry, and cola. Lively acidity and a long finish. Tasted twice 12 months apart.
