I love this wine. The mood changes as it opens in the glass. Pretty special.

Rosae, red wine from Rinaldi, from 100% Ruchè grapes, only 2500 bottles produced. Beautiful color, inviting nose with a scent if roses. Disappointing in the mouth: tannins too aggressive, very little body.

Roasae from legendary Piedmonte producer Giuseppe Rinaldi, this has a spicy nose, great minerality with very subtle and elegant fruit. Reminds me a lot of red Burgundy.

Really loved this wine. Evolved so much over 30 minutes. My favorite expression of this grape

2012 Guiesppe Rinaldi Ruche. After tasting the rather closed 2010 Rinaldi wines from botti, it was a revelation to get my nose in a glass of Ruche. Potpourri and berries match with a fresh and vibrant texture. Simple, fun, fruity and an absolute joy to drink.

Darker colour than the 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo tried earlier in the week. A little more rustic and less expressive on the palate but remains true to Piedemont with rose and cherry flavours and appealing texture. New grape variety for me which is interesting. Lower price point so accessible entry to the Rinaldi style which I’m currently thinking is similar to Bartolo but a less little less savoury.
