Layered red berries, almost sweet. Quite a bit of weight in this wine but not heavy. Excellent Champans in the perfect drinking window.

Reddish black cherry color. Slightly translucent. Doesn't show its age in the glass. Nose of warm fruit with kirsch, with some secondary dirt and spice notes. In the mouth there wonderful rich coating of ripe black cherry, some wood, and still active tannin. Well balanced. Lasting finish. Great showing. Still on the upswing of its potential.

Last nights pre-xmas dinner - another great 93! this required a good hour to adjust and relax; cigar-box, dried mushroom, forest floor, decadent wood notes. Great color and In great shape- possibly close to its peak but many years ahead to catch this window... Had with Duck!!!

Magical nose, very aromatic, complex, elegant with layers and layers. The palate is soft, classy, silky, texture is great, length is impressive, the tannins that have no more grip though and make the palate slightly less magical than the nose. Great experience. 93-94
Un nez magique, complexe, fin, élégant avec des couches et des couches d’arômes. La bouche est fine, élégante et a beaucoup de classe, les tannins sont totalement fondus mais la texture est belle et soyeuse. 93-94
