Jean-Pierre, François and Pierre Perrin craft wines, inspired by the memory of their grandfather, Pierre Perrin. Mostly Grenache, this is a classic Châteauneuf du Pape. Vivid Ruby with dark fruit and spice aromas. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with notes of herb pepper and leathery character. Soft tannins, good balance, long finish ending with fruit and spice, very nice!

Quite impressed since LBT, much more wholesome and integrated, in its place and expressive of time and place. Lovely brett and garrigue laden nose, quite savory and meaty now.

Medium ruby. Live the raisins and blackberry combination. Food friendly match to some meatballs and marinara.

High alcohol CdP, but you wouldn’t know it. (Until later.) Nice dark red color with ruby around the edges. Cherry and vanilla aromatics, some spice too and a slight floral arrangement. Drinks super smooth, with a good finish. Focuses are plum, warm spices, and some cola.

This vintage yielded uneven ripening and light grenache grapes; this wine was unexceptional across the nose and palate.
