2016 Vintage - somewhat confused style.Wise tropical fruits lees contact -wish it was full barrel fermented or stainless steel not a mix of the two acid is a bit low but serviceable Central Coast Chardonnay

Dateline: trapped in Miami thanks to American Airlines. Took the team to a nice steakhouse to make up for not being in Panama right now. The food is good. Waitstaff is terrific. Wine.... Meh.

It’s drinkable, of course, and not too oaked. Prefer it cold though, as it doesn’t offer much when warmed up a bit. Some butter, some cream, some indistinguishable industrial fruit flavors.

This yellow-gold wine rings the “old-style Cali” bell in all the right ways. A nose of apricots, mangoes and apples is helped along with the smell of buttered popcorn. Oak treats the palate as well, draping over the tropical fruit like a sunshade. The acidity is zesty, yet the mouthfeel tends toward creaminess due to the wine sitting on the lees for five months. The oak is a definite part of the wine, but the effect is softened enough so that it's a pleasure, not a pain.

Im@not a huge fan of Chardonnay but honestly, I really like this one! It's not dry, it's just sweet enough without being too sweet.

Peach blossoms pears and a hint of vanilla and rubber bands greet your nose. Has a taste of green apple and assorted fruit finish with a hint of burn at the back of the throat. All flavors are mild. Disappointing for a Chardonnay. Has no oak, which most don't any longer

Quite a punch vibrant style, leesy, ripe nectarine, quite sweet fruit. Full style, sweet, juicy ripe fruit, leesy, creamy and lightly the toasty. Good drinking.

For $15 @Wente Morning Fog is a great #wine Great pear fruit mixed w vanilla & white flower! Nice balance between oak and fruit, only 50% see oak. #ChardDay #wentechard

The wine-growing is under ownership and management by the fourth and fifth generation of the Wente family. Not an exceptionally good Chardonnay. Straw yellow with aromas of stone and tropical fruits. Flavors of apple and melon with citrus zest and heavy oak. Looking for more crispness, medium finish, just ok.
