Fantastic effort from a somewhat difficult vintage… bridges the style gap for most in our tasting crew (modern vs traditional). Needs 2+ hours of air or 4+ years in bottle, but everyone loved this one. 2nd bottle tasted from this vintage, both terrific.

Locked and loaded, matched a wide range of food. Gentle and on the medium weight of the Barabarange, it had enough weight to give it some Nebbiolo gravitas.

Mid to light bodied but packed a punch. Spice, roses, cherry and tar. Finished strongly.

Certainly one of the most exotic wines I've had in a while. Loaded with spices, along with a forest of herbs, the most prominent being sage and bay leaf. A tropical version of cherry adds another layer of both intrigue and enjoyment. My first La Spinetta, and I'm already a fan.

This wine sparked a discussion right off the bat concerning the aromas; I said sweaty leather, but others thought new car leather, antique store, grandma’s closet, and baseball glove. Needless to say, it was intriguing from the get-go! Consensus for: Tar, mushroom, stewed plums, tobacco, mocha, caramel, something nutty, and potting soil in the flavors. Tannins and acid still have a bite! Lovely, complex and layered. We talked about the wine for hours! As I always say: Wine is the best argument! (Because unlike religion or politics, you don’t hate the other person at the end of the night!)

Strong peach and floral nose. Long finish. Complex. Taste peach on finish as well. Really interesting wine. Not what I expected but very good.

Insanely primary and clean, next to no rusticity to the wine. Rotofermenters apparently at play here. Was just an array of Jols lollys; slight orange, black raspberry and blackcurrant. Serious tannin to the wine but didn't seem to work within its style. Maybe worth a revisit
