Medium deep ruby with pink rim . Quite crunchy mix of summer fruits , strawberry , raspberry and touch of dark cherry , touches of violet and also slight toastiness from the oak . On the palate quite strict acidity and slightly gritty but ripe tannin , with nice fresh fruits from the nose , strawberry , dark cherry and raspberry with some black currant and a hint of wood spice. Decent length and balance , this shows pretty young and will need a little time to integrate , but is promising. Good intensity, fills out well on the palate with no lack of freshness, balanced alcohol . Better in 2-3 years and will last well a further 5-10 — 2 months ago
Medium garnet , narrow garnet rim. Really elegant , meaty red fruits , red rose , touch of spice. On the palate lovely balance , with fresh acidity , suave tannins . Red cherry , strawberry, raspberry , touch of sous bois. Long on the finish , earthy , chalky finish. A model of elegance, and drinkability, really incredibly moreish , got better and better over 2 -3 hours . Showing well now but will continue well over the next 8-12 years — 4 months ago

This 6 year old is a very easy drinking Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley in France.
Good right out of the bottle, and gets more complexity as it opens up. Tannins show up after 45 minutes of airtime.
I had it 4 years ago, and it is drinking pretty much the same, although it did gain more complexity. Will not get any better from this point, so drink up.
Good by itself as a sipping wine and good with food. I gave it a light chill and paired it with cheeses and crackers.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
