Visited the Jameson Distillery while in Dublin. Was an interesting experience.
This whiskey is matured in charred bourbon barrels.
Nose - banana and toffee. Palate- caramel and toasted oak.
Makes a good cocktail with fresh lime and ginger ale.

How does anyone not hoard (regular) Sazerac at ~$25?!
Incredibly smooth, great sweet note to the finish. Again, why haven't I not been buying this for years...?
(BTW Kirkland Bourbon at $30 is worth the price of admission, earthy oak note on the palate is quite similar to Buffalo Trace.)
Counter-Clockwise from top left:
Buffalo Trace (single-barrel selection), Jefferson's Reserve Very Old/Very Small Batch, Knob Creek (9yo), Kirkland Bourbon (7yo), St George single-malt (SM 015), Hillrock (Ancram NY, solera aged, Barrel No. 174), Berkshire Mountain Distillers Shay's Rebellion and Wild Turkey Master's Keep (Batch 0001, 17yo). — 2 years ago

Son’s birthday so pulled out something special. While I think the hype on this is over the top, I managed to get a bottle from Australia so that mitigated some of the craziness. It’s really delicious. Not over powered like many of the cask strength bottles now. Sweet, approachable and his choice over the scotch — a month ago
