48 Hour Update:
Nose has ripe cherry syrup, moist earth, dry tree bark, ripe black cherry, ripe blackberry, light star anise and roasted meats.
Palate has ripe black cherry, cherry jam, dusty blackberry, light cedar notes, smoked and charred meats, dry earth and a very sappy finish that runs very long. Tannins are in a beautiful spot right now, they do not get in the way of the beautifully complex flavors, but just a gentle complement. Future bottles can be 2021-23. — 7 years ago

Deep ruby color; strawberry sauce, dried herbs, and licorice on the nose; low acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes the same as it smells. Too sweet for my tastes and Bri tastes (surprisingly), but Leo likes it. I think it tastes a bit like candied fennel. — 3 years ago
