DAY1
Served with Vinloq System
👃Chalky with apples, smoke, petrol and wet pavement
👅White fruits with smoke. Fresh. Nice depth of flavors. Teeth cleaning acidity. Just the right kabinett sweetness. Nice lift. Impressive
Stored in fridge with Vinloq Preservation
DAY25
The nose is slightly funky and largely fruitless. The fruit arrives on the palate. The combination works nicely. Finishes with a candied sweetness that turns dry on the tongue.
Resembles Julian Haart’s Ohligsberg in style and that is a very good thing🙌
My first Max Kilburg wine will not be my last☝️

Refreshing red wine. Good for summer and lite dishes. — 5 years ago
Vintage 2017 / youthful and closed. But with lots of potential. Raspberry, almonds and buttery. #mosel #spätburgunder — 6 years ago
Nose is so classic. Huge minerals and rocks. Almost no fruit. Maybe a hint of lime blossom. Really earthy as well. This smells like it was grown in dirt. Lemon. Some pink grapefruit pith. Palate is silky and so dry and focused on minerals and barely any fruit. Elegant and juicy with insane precision. Really high acid and just a driving mineral force and really long. So so good. This is one of the most essential Steinmetz wines. — 8 months ago
Big nose. Creamy and ripe. Superb slate and so fine and refined. But also wide open and expansive. Yellow fruits and such fine and dense minerality. Palate is ripe and elegant. Chewy and rich but also fresh and mineral and long. Gets to every nook and cranny. Maybe a feinherb style? Huge mid palate and so elegant but precise and wide open. There is a hidden density here. Love the extra RS which makes this so sexy and drinkable. Breathtaking nose now. Much more mineral and less creamy and ripe. Needed that ripeness to blow off. I love slate. Can never get enough. Terrific concentration. Lacks the depth of the GG’s.
Now after 10 hours this is such a beauty. 9.4 to 9.5. Nose more integrated and palate is a work of art. Juicy, creamy, energetic and so concentrated. Mouthwatering. — 3 years ago

Juxtaposition in a glass; both electric and textured, persistent yet expressive. Aromas of sweet orange, white flowers, wet slate and unmissable petrol give way to a palate that balances ripe green apple and lemon curd against a steely minerality and racy acidity. A hint of honey lingers on the long, saline finish, making this a wine of both tension and elegance. A must-try for Riesling lovers, with the structure to age beautifully. — 3 days ago
