Some cigar box/cedar too.
P: On it’s own, even after 2 hrs out, a tannic beastie. W some protein, cherries, roses, cocoa, juicy and bright.

Si conferma come nelle bottiglie precedenti, una tendenza a cambiare molto da bottiglia a bottiglia, sempre stesse annate. Questa volta era leggermente sull’osssidato è un sentore leggero di tappo. Anche il colore era meno vivace e più spento, già sul granato aranciato. — 4 years ago
Estate-grown Nebbiolo from a Barolo cru, this is old-school Riserva showing tightly wound red fruit, dried rose, tar, and earthy autumn leaf notes with firm tannins. Need times. Lacking a bit of depth for a Riserva - could be a result of a weak vintage.
46 months in used French and Slovakia vertical vat. — 9 months ago
1997 vintage. Plenty of time to decant and it opened to a very complex and balanced wine. Cherry, olive, green pepper, leather, hay, eucalyptus, earthy with nice minerality. Has an umami character. For me…a little funk of barnyard and brett make it muah! — 3 years ago
