The most simple and delicious dinner wine. Goes with all things Italian and more. — 2 months ago
Tons of tangy blackberry, ripe black cherry and such purity. Reminds me of Thivin. So much mineral and loam. Bright and earthy. Super detailed and great clarity. Mimics Cote de Brouilly. Awesome texture and sappiness. Such vibrancy and tangy blackberry and deep, vivid black cherry fruit. Terrific freshness and energy and Rudi cloud fruit sap on the long finish. Dynamite. So complex and classy. Really great tension and the minerality shines through. So much crunch. Nose opens more and more. Amazing balance. — 8 months ago
Can’t imagine paying $100+ for this, but it is a viscous, layered, tropical stunner. Pineapple and apricot spread to every corner of the palate with a long, luxurious finish. Teriyaki glazed pork? Soup dumplings? What to pair this with? Awesome wine with another fifteen years ahead of it. — 2 years ago
MAGNUM! This is an unique blend of all the permitted grapes in Chateauneuf (red and white), named after Rudi’s grandfather, that plays well above its humble Vin de Pays du Gard, complex, rich, structured, needs 5+ more years, great wine!!
(Disclosure — Rudi is a friend through my brother, who imports his wines, but the front label shows the 12th Century chateau on the Rhône across from Chateauneuf, just south of the Lirac appellation!!) — 5 months ago

Once I got past the (kinda cool) gimmicky packaging- it’s a fish getting hooked-I was able to embrace a relatively lithe & subtle Mosel blend (from different vineyards) for about 12/13$. Gets the salty/ fruit/rs intersection right, at least at this price point. Shared with my Argentine mom in law, who went bonkers for it. — 3 years ago
