Post Elsa checklist- gnarly drinking Sangiovese, nobile-tough. Always better day two. Elsa was a bit anticlimactic down in The Gulf Coast, so this got special attention; very disjointed on day 1, but reconstituted afterward; blackberries. Ready to rumble w Elsa on day 2-3, eh? @Severn Goodwin — 3 years ago
For not being a Riesling, I love this! — 7 years ago
Chianti made from grapes grown along the Elsa River. Blend of Sangiovese (85%), Canaiolo (10%), Malvasia (3%) and Trebbiano (2%). Bright ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, black raspberry and violets. Same fruits on the pallet with hints of bramble berries and roasted nuts. Hint of baking spice on the finish. Light body and slightly tannic. Interesting. — 2 years ago

In the glass, bursts of lime and vegetal notes of asparagus , just slightly hints of oak and vanilla. Silky butter notes and more oak on the palate. Citrus and grapefruit notes. 12.5% this is a no brainer for a nice evening. — 3 years ago

We were watching a flat Jimmy Stewart/Kim Novak/Elsa Lanchester/Ernie Kovacs/Jack Lemmon film on TCM last night. (With that cast, I'm not sure how anything can be flat, but...) Fortunately for us, the wine was way less disturbing than the age difference between Stewart (b 1908) and Novak (b 1933). It had a light body, sweet, but not saccharine, a kind smile, no trace of sourness or bitterness. We served it slightly chilled. Purchased at tableWINE. — 7 years ago

What Casey said. I don’t care much for Sauvignon Blanc, but this was good. This does undergo malolactic fermentation. — 9 months ago
