Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano Morellino di Scansano Sicomoro 2019

vintage 2019 | Exemplary sangiovese | Morelinno di Scansano never dissapointed me | The more air the better, my last glass with 48 h aeration became velvety with a hint of truffle | paired with Ottolenghi’s mushroom lasagne — 2 months ago

Favolalunga Vespolina 2017

Pleasantly surprised with this wine... first time having a Vespolina wine. This grape is native to Piedmont and has Nebbiolo grape in its ancestry. Only 12.5% alcohol, classically-made acid-driven red with soft tannins. The tannins grew stronger in the glass I was having 24 hours later. For $24, this is a super value wine I have had in a long time. — 5 years ago

Terre Siciliane Zibibbo 2020

First, zibbibo is fun to say! And turns out fun to drink, too. Acidic and fruity, bright and fresh. A bit of structure from the skin contact. Drank with sushi which was perfect — 4 years ago

Bartön Fara Nebbiolo 2014

Dedication ,labor of love, patience and traditional attention to the details results in this excellent and smooth savory wine. Rich medium red, ripe red plum followed with a pleasant peppery suggestion. Great wine, excellent pairing with Shrimp Diablo. — 5 years ago

Decanted +6H. Paired alongside a slow cooked Bolognese sauce over Pappardelle. Merry Christmas 2022 to everyone. 🎄

Deep ruby, fading at edges. Nose has elegant blackberry mash, chocolate mint; Palate has ripe cherry, dried tart cherry, medium drying tannins. Drink future bottles 2027+.

Borgo San Daniele

Mauri Vignaioli Friulano

This is a really good wine but definitely not a crowd pleaser. It starts off with melon and then turns to something like a dry, not-sweet mead. Cool and interesting. — 6 years ago
