Good Argentinian Cabernet. Mendoza is becoming a serious powerhouse in wine. Their Malbecs are impressive and now they are producing quality Cabs. $30 for a 1.5 L from Total Wines. — 4 months ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of black fruits and spice notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with notes of herb, cacao and pepper. Medium finish, firm tannins, ending with fruit, herb and mineral spice character. — 2 days ago
Great wine combining southern burgundy richness, use of luxurious oak, great acidity and low alc levels. Wonder how this ages.. Tx @Jan A for pointing this one out!. — 21 days ago
Cherries, raspberries and a hint of minty chocolate, high alcohol packed in minirality. Very pleasant — 3 months ago
This wine is inky dark, with no light getting through the glass. Black fruit provides the sweet part of the nose, while tar, earth, tobacco, and coffee cover the savory side. Blackberry and plum flavors are joined on the palate by earthy minerals and a brisk acidity. The tannins are firm and seem to eagerly await a pairing with some beef. It’s a delicious wine, so if you’re not pairing it with food, that’s okay. — a month ago
