This is the terrior label. I’d not seen it before but it is a ripping wine. Well worth getting at 2 for 40 at VC. — 5 years ago

🎤 Hello…(tap, tap)…is thing still working?
I think we are back to one day from two in seeing posts. But, now 7 varietal/region tabs are completely blank unless I engage one or more of dollar signs symbols at the top of each tab every time I wish to go back & look at them. I think Neo must be in the machine city fighting Agent Smith and is close to shutting down this Matrix.
Finally got in some of my 375 Champagnes. Found some 375ml EB’s. Look forward to those. The VC last weekend was not something I normally do.
However, I do like Gimonnet’s craft. Enjoy the SC’s more, but this will do.
Nice, ripe, bruised green apple/pear, lemon/lime pulp with zest, grapefruit w/ pith, touch of tropical melons, kiwi and white stone fruits, ginger-ale quince, nougat, pronounced white spice, gritty chalk/limestone, yeasty bread dough, almond cake, yellow lilies, white flowers, lively, crisp acidity, well balanced, nicely tensioned, good length and elegant finish that lasts nearly 90 seconds and falls on spice & minerals on the long set. — 4 months ago
Ripe red fruits on the nose, with hints of cedar and pepper. Luscious and juicy on the palate, with more ripe fruits, flowers, and herbs. It's a nice and drinkable wine, but not complicated. And for $10 at VC it's cheap as chips this. Bring it on! — 4 years ago
Some may find it wasteful — others, baller — others, don’t care either way. Making Aperol spritzes with VC rosé, why not. Got to celebrate the journey and that’s what we are doing today in Mt. Airy, Phila, PA, year of our lord 2021. Cheers to the amazing @Caroline Graham for going all the way. — 5 years ago

Lovely nose of spicy pepper, and lemon. Nice, even wine, with shades of a Southern Rhone white. Grilled apricots, smooth, and nicely balanced. Had no idea what to expect, but quite impressed. $15 from VC — 3 years ago
Earthy and piggy on the nose, with a hint of fruit. Slightly tart but juicy, and very forward in the mouth. Short finish, but quite nice this. $19 from VC. — 4 years ago
From Charlottesville- ordered through VC — 5 years ago
Very tasty - had at Megan Hill’s house with lasagna. She either bought in VC or Jacob Liquor. — 6 years ago
Great surprise, this 95 CS 5 PV blend has really expressed with VC and vintage quality well. Spiced, nuanced, and loaded with herbal and earthy notes beneath the sheen of rich Napa fruit. Love the tannin structure this has, almost yielding a more Bordeaux-like texture to the wine. ‘06 always has a savory side that I admire, so it was fun to taste what I would normally describe as a “stylized and polished wine” that really brought forth that element. — 8 years ago

Oldest wine served at “From the Cellar.” Paired with the dish of event.
I met Tim who was pouring initially. He is the main person behind the VC group that bought the property and three others out of BK in 1999. We all know what happened the next yr with the Glass Fires. Very unfortunate coupled w/ bad timing.
The hope to have all the restoration worked completed by 2030. They have already started replanting the vineyards that were consumed in the fire. Priority number one as it is roughly 7 yrs before you get usable fruit for quality wines.
He brought a 3L of the 79. Mags of 90, 96, 97, 05 & 06 to the event.
The “Grilled Sofrito Lamb Ribs” were off the chain. I had three. — 2 months ago
