Hundred Suns

Willamette Valley Gamay Noir

BD15 acquisition! My first Hundred Suns wine is their Gamay from the Tualatin Vineyard in OR and I’m really impressed. Three fermentations: one destemmed, two whole-cluster. Native yeast, finished in the ‘tradional’ way - 20% Terra cotta and 80% neutral. 13% ABV. — 2 months ago

So, crazy thing happened. I’m in Corvallis for work flying home tomorrow am and got done way early. Driving up to PDX and there are wineries on the way! Is this Serendipity? 😀🍷 I’m a Willamette Pinot newbie. This was my favorite of the bunch. Overall they feel like more green, acidic, structured, and tart than Sonoma / Burgundy. Am I in the neighborhood or way too limited for the generalizations? — a year ago
