Bin 149 Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Blend of 85.1% Rutherford + Oakville (Treasury Wine Estates), 14.9% South Australia, Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, espresso, cedar and sweet floral notes, aged 16 months in new French (80%) and new American (20%) oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry, raspberry and ripe black cherry with notes of cacao, vanilla and dried herbs. Fine firm tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cacao, spice, oak and earthy mineral notes. Nice but need to wait a few years. — 3 years ago

Château de Gironville

Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

2018 vintage. One of the estates that was owned by the late Vincent Mulliez ( who died young in 2010) and sold ( together with Belle-Vue and Bolaire) to Treasury in 2021. This 2018 is the first 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine in the history of the estate, and at the time, it was still consulted by Vincent Bache Gabrielsen, who is doing an amazing job at Pédesclaux these days. Cassis, leather, cedar, and a hint of graphite. Medium-bodied, with juicy black fruit and ripe tannin, balances by mouthwatering acidity. Very good value. — 3 years ago
