Fluid cherry-ruby dress. Nose: red fruits, spices, vegetable. Smooth mouth, light, flexible body. Notes of Pinot Noir and Gamay well restored, assembled in harmony in an accessible and complex bouquet with many shades: cherry, cloves, pepper, strawberry, blackberry, rose, violets. Pretty vegetable notes, almost menthol, dry herbs, hay. Tertiary notes slightly smoked/vanilla, suggesting a possibility of Burgundian evolution. Very nice work at a correct price.

Notes de Pinot Noir et Gamay bien restituées, assemblées avec harmonie au sein d’un bouquet accessibles et complexe aux nombreuses nuances: cerise, clou de girofle, poivre, fraise, mûre, rose, violettes. De jolies notes végétales, presque mentholées, herbes sèches, foin. Des notes tertiaires légèrement fumées/vanillées, laissant entrevoir une possibilité d’évolution à la bourguignonne. En bouche c’est très structuré, chaque lampé apporte des saveurs différentes, viandé, cote floral avec la violette, poivré, un peu d’herbe, thym. A final on ripe fruits, a little caramelized and a sweetness in conclusion.

En dégustation à l’aveugle avec deux autre vins mieux cotés, il devient une incroyable surprise avec une fraîcheur et une aromatique prenante et très agréable. En bouche, une belle longueur, on sent le travail en équipe du vigneron. L’équipe familiale est authentique et très accueillante, fortement recommandé !
Une finale sur les fruits mûres, un peu caramélisé et une douceur en conclusion.

Chenin, citrus zest, melon. In the mouth, the acidity is sharp and constitutes the backbone of the tasting, which is spread over several levels, with notes that are both resin and herbaceous mineral. It is certainly a work of high mastery. Perfect with oysters and seafood.

Pretty Syrah from Switzerland 🇨🇭 . Tank aging choosing to highlight the fruit, we have here a crunchy cuvée with notes of black fruits, the blueberry stands out well. Peppery notes and liquorice are also felt. The mountain climate gives a lot of freshness and a certain relief to the tasting. The mouth is fresh and tense, the fruit pleasantly respected. Beautiful work, and savoir faire.

Jolie Syrah Suisse. L’élevage en cuve faisant le choix de mettre le fruit en avant, on a ici une cuvée croquante aux notes de fruits noirs, la myrtille ressortant bien. Des notes poivrées, et réglisses se font également sentir. Le climat de montagne donne beaucoup de fraîcheur et un certain relief à la dégustation. After the Chiroubles, I taste this second Cuvée from the Domaine; confirming the admirable know-how of these winegrowers who love a job well done. Biodynamic Fleurie which does justice to the appellation: nose of red fruits and cherries accompanied by rocky floral nuances and something that resembles peppermint. (Vintage effect?). The palate confirms this generosity, with a carbonic maceration that suits the Gamay grape so well, without being prominent here. The finish unfolds on roasted and typical sour cherry notes. It’s very greedy. Immediate pleasure at a very affordable price.

Après le Chiroubles, je goûte cette deuxième cuvée du Domaine; confirmant l’admirable savoir faire de ces vignerons amoureux du travail bien fait. Fleurie biodynamique qui fait honneur à l’appellation: nez sur les fruits rouges et griottes accompagné de roches nuances florales et quelque chose qui ressemblerait à la menthe poivrée. (Effet millésime?). La bouche confirme cette générosité, avec une macération carbonique qui sied si bien au cépage gamay, sans pour autant être proéminente ici. La finale se déploie sur des notes torréfiées et griottes typique. C’est très gourmand. plaisir immédiat à prix très abordable. — 6 years ago

Another very beautiful work by Jean-Paul Brun, with this Saint-Amour that bears the stigmata of crunchy and generous Beaujolais, as well as the presence of a pretty Burgundian wine. Perfectly the style I love, at a reasonable cost in view of quality. My last 2017 bottle unfortunately, what a year!

Encore un très beau travail de Jean-Paul Brun, avec ce Saint-Amour qui porte les stigmates du Beaujolais croquant et généreux, autant que la prestance d’un joli vin Bourguignon.
