Opened about an hour before our Thanksgiving dinner; a preamble of sorts. At these early stages, the 2020 Amador County is like a laser beam of lemon citrus. Yes, there are lemon blossoms and minerals too. The acid is racy and there is a bit of a wooly texture too. Exciting now due to its youthful energy but should be fun for several years to come. — 2 years ago
NV Rose en Magnum. Excellent Thanksgiving starter with cheese appetizers. Is there some left? Yes, it was very generous. My champagne stopper didn’t fit but was able to push the cork back in and hold it with the wire. — 5 years ago
Between a Sauvignon blanc and a Chardonnay. Excellent fullness without lingering. Not heavy. Keeps SB’s dryness but more full than most. 2013 was perfect with Thanksgiving dinner. — 2 years ago
Red berries on nose. Strawberry, blackberry, plum and leather with bright acidity and assertive tannins. Too tannic on its own, but excellent with Thanksgiving dinner — 4 years ago

Thanksgiving dinner at our friends house in St Helena. Has aged beautifully at 10 years. I don’t think it will get any better. — 2 years ago
I enjoy this every fall (way more than nouveau nonsense). Brambles, smashed cherries, strawberry, tart sour candy, needs an hour of air. Unbelievable with food. This would be amazing for thanksgiving but I like it better with leftovers. So wonderful. — 3 years ago
