Alicante Bouschet is typically used for color - Forgone Conclusion is certainly pigment enhanced, thick skinned, and sooty - almost alarmingly lean at 10.64% ABV. If you’re ok with raw, it works. Tart notes of red blueberries, blackberries, and nail salon varnish. — 6 years ago

I know I'm giving a Provence a 94 pt rating..but this is truly one of the most balanced, elegant, refreshing, and well rounded rosés I've ever had. Made by Château La Vivonne, of whom I've only experienced their Bandol rosés, but this the best by far. The nose is lifted, floral, and invigorating, and the color is star bright, a perfect hue of pale salmon. The pallet is structured with finesse and focus, with an acidity that is soft, and bright at the same time. Think - cotton candy, wildflower, and lemon oil on the nose, and juicy Meyer lemon, raspberry, and white pepper on the pallet with a light grapefruit finish. Nothing is angular, everything is in beautiful flow. Stunning.. This is my new drink of spring! (While it rarely lasts in Texas)
If you're good with dough and make a mean pizza, try this with a Napolitano style pizza with spinach, Mozz, Asiago, Grand Padano, garlic, olive oil, and a squeeze of Almafi Coast Lemon (Meyer works as well)..it was the perfect recipe for a great Sunday brunch.

Coffee, cacao, vanilla, lactose, and maple syrup brewed ale. Yep, could make you want to start early in the morning,.....throwing up I mean. By Deep Ellum Brewery in Dallas. Excellent. Sweet. Smooth. — 12 years ago
In the hottest summer since forever, Enderle & Moll Spat rose is the solution to my Texas problem. This works for when I want red and red doesn't want to work. It's the heart and soul of German Spat with the ability to quench thirst. A cool dip off Liason, with more texture and thicker concentration.
It doesn't look like Rose'. It looks like 20 year old Barolo - crimson with browned edges. Awesome cherry laden notes. Fresh bing - dark to stain your fingers. And candied cherry too - like Ludens cough drops. And mint and menthol. And that texture - this is 13.5% ABV, but not syrupy the way Bandol rose's can be.
It's own exceptional thing. Drink at cellar temp. — 4 years ago

Smooth ...but it works!!! — 8 years ago
Still alive and kickin. This was truly special. Slight amount of VA (as with most of Lewis' wines) but it works well here. Crunchy red fruits, rose petals, tar and garrigue. Acidity and minerality are spot on. — 9 years ago
Very crisp and refreshing! Fresh white grapes on the nose, green apple finish, balanced acidity, 13.2% ABV works great. Excellent for summer days. — 10 years ago
Super delicious and well balanced, lightly carbonated fall in love with mead — 11 years ago
$17 a bottle from a local meadery just 6 miles from home. Tastes wonderful as well. — 12 years ago

Early citrus fades quickly. Sweeter than I normally would like but this has a lot of honey and works. Low acidity. — 10 years ago
If you're a dark chocolate lover, then this beer is for you. Bittersweet chocolate flavor is almost heavy and overpowering, but surprisingly it works and it's pretty damn good. One of few things from Texas I like. — 11 years ago
