It’s an excellent Istrian blend of five common varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Terrano) from a great wine maker, rich in taste and flavour, reasonably priced. Try it if you get the chance. — 8 years ago
A great bargain from Trader Joe’s. Lots of black currant, blackberry, and dark plum fruit. A little barnyard funk makes it interesting. Acidity is medium strong and a little hot. Not strongly tannic, though. — 8 years ago

Interesting indigenous grape. You might think Cab Franc, Syrah, especially from the nose, but for all it’s bruising, it’s light,
11.5° rarely exceeding 12°. Bright dark cherries, minimal tannins, just enough for pasta with meat. With a slight chill, a really nice summer quaff. — 8 months ago
