Riserva Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese 2015

Vino nobile from Montepulciano is one of our most favorite Italian wines. Made from a strain of Sangiovese called Prugnolo gentile. It requires a bit of an acquired taste as it is super minerally, earthy with a very present iron ore/rust note. But when it all comes together in perfect harmony it is an experience. And so was this wine. — 5 months ago

Very tasty! Light and fruity, not too sweet. — 4 years ago

Viñedo de los Vientos

Estival Atlàntida White Blend

Love the color on this one. Beautiful lemon yellow.

Subtle bouquet. Aromatic, the smell of lilies and bunches of raspberries.

Wow. What a complex blend. If lilies could produce fruit, this gold ore would represent.

Light acidity. Really love the rounded taste, aroma and color. All combine to make a worthwhile tasting experience.

Domaine des Croix (David Croix)

Les Grèves Corton Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2010

The youthful nose is dominated by high toned fruit notes of red cherry, pomegranate, raspberry with accents of allspice, iron ore and whole cluster fermented fruit, There is depth and complexity in the aromas but still quite coiled and restrained. Reticent but elegant red Pinot fruit flavors alongside a focused mineral edge. Dense fruit based tannins intertwined with the refreshing acidic zing provide a formidable structure. The finish has emerging but restrained red fruit and Corton power. This appears to need 3 to 4 more years to develop as air added layers but still reminded slightly reticent. I feel the wine will show well for many years. — 3 years ago

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2017

Where has this wine been all my life? Seriously. Bold, jammy, and crackling fall leaves dry. Hints of coffee and spice (pepper). Delicious. — 5 years ago

Rhini Blauer Spätburgunder 2019

Tight.
N:Reticent, herbaceous, black plums, cocoa. Plush red/brown velvet nose.
P: Way too young… patience my man,
But nice plums, tilled earth, dense, herbs, lots of acid,
This ain’t no Cali/Ore Pinot.
I say come back in five? yrs.
After 1 hr + in a decanter, Wow! Dirty leather,
Big.
Thank @ Fass Selections
From Skurnik:

The pick of the sites on the big hill, this is limestone again, and the wine is fascinating, bloody yet almost mineral; a truly complex mid-palate, animated and squirming; dark fruit and warm crust and a lingering multi-faceted finish.
